Scholarship award information
Attention Wethersfield and Rocky Hill residents who are High School Students graduating in 2026.
The Wethersfield Chapter of UNICO Awards are now available. They include our Book Awards; Brian Piccolo Award and Tony DiCicco Award. Book Award application forms have been forwarded to the Guidance Offices at Wethersfield High School. Rocky Hill High School, Xavier High School, Mercy High School and East Catholic High School. Application forms for the Brian Piccolo and the Tony DiCicco Awards have been forwarded to the Athletic Offices of Wethersfield High School, Rocky Hill High School, Xavier High School, Mercy High School and East Catholic High School. Copies can also be downloaded from the UNICO Website wethersfieldunico.com or by contacting UNICO Scholarship Chairman at tonymartinojr@yahoo.com.
Book Awards winners are selected based on three (criteria’s) criteria that are weighted equally: Academics; Financial Need and Outside Activities. The Brian Piccolo Award is given to an Athlete who played any sport that portrayed the qualities of Brian Piccolo. The Tony DiCicco Award is given to a soccer player who portrayed the qualities of Tony DiCicco. The Brian Piccolo Award is the only award that requires the individual have some Italian ancestry per our National Rules.There are multiple Book Awards issued but only one Piccolo Award and DiCicco Award Winner. Students who are eligible can apply for all three awards.
Competed applications can be sent to our Scholarship Chairman, Tony Martino, and must be received by March 18, 2026.
